One of our small household food waste machine prototype has been exhibited in Kowloon Bay ZCB (Zero Carbon Building) since last quarter of last year.

ZCB is the first zero-carbon building in Hong Kong, developed by Construction Industry Council cooperated with Development Bureau. It has achieved the highest level of BEAM PLUS certification of green building environmental assessment system - platinum certification. As a centre of exhibition, education and information, ZCB raises community awareness of low carbon living in Hong Kong and promote behavioural changes towards low carbon living by providing guided ZCB tours and organising education programmes. Besides, it showcases the state-of-the-art eco-building design and technologies to the construction industry locally and internationally with a view to promote their application in Hong Kong.

Our machine has been gaining a lot of positive credits from visitors, attracting the attention of Environment Protection Department, many construction industrial players and NGO who promotes food waste management. ZCB are expecting us to further strengthen our promotion activities for the machine.

Students of Food Waste Management Course from HKU visit food waste management facility in Nine Seafood Place

Our EX-200L food waste digester, which has been landed in the Nine Seafood Place since the third quarter of last year, got the attention and support of Dr. Habimana, who is an assistant professor of Depart of Biological Science from HKU . As an expert in microbial ecology on surfaces and environmental microbiology, Dr. Habimana will collaborate with our company to develop an advanced microbial composition for

higher food waste decomposition efficiency.

In the afternoon of April 6, Dr. Habimana lead several students from HKU, visiting Nine Seafood Place, which is the largest seafood plaza in Hong Kong. All the students were from his course (Food waste management), whose objectives are to let students understanding food waste generation as well as treatment and to critically evaluate food waste management

and resource recovery potential in Hong Kong. A staff explained and demonstrated how our machine works, and shared his experience of managing food waste using our machine. Afterward, students involved in discussion in which they shared ideas actively.
We expect this field trip could enhance undergraduates' understanding on current technologies for food waste management.
